 Late Mr. Dulal Bose
(Founder)Late Mr. Dulal Bose, founder of United Machinery & Appliances formed the company in the year 1958. He started his career in the Indian Navy. His inherent trait of discipline and focused business acumen was honed by his father who was in the legal profession. His career in the manufacture of generating sets started with dealership, in resold large and medium imported gensets. With his profound business skills and deep understanding of commercial requirements of a new independent India he established himself in this sector and carved an illustrious career as a pioneer in diesel generators. He became an OEM of KIRLOSKAR CUMMINS LTD, KIRLOSKAR OIL ENGINE LTD, and KORLOSKAR ELECTRIC LTD and set up a manufacturing unit at Diamond Harbour Road. His vision enabled United Machinery & Appliances to become one of the most well known names in the diesel generator industry. So, what began as a small shop grew into an industry. He was a gifted writer, singer, sportsman and a philanthropist and a patron of The Ramakrishna Mission charity organisation. |

 Mr. Pradip Bose Pradip is the Chairman of UNITED group. He has been instrumental in shepherding its growth by introducing innovation and professionalism to the organisation. His vision enabled UMA to use its strength harnessing skill with technology to support his ability to take on challenging projects. He has provided the group a crucial and leading edge in the genset industries. Mr. Dilip Dutta, a chartered engineer, helped him to develop practical applications in Electrical Engineering for the designing of control panels, manufacture of gensets and the procedures for electrical load testing. Pradip approaches the business as a vast and open arena to be traversed with balance and precision. Pradip has played cricket since the age of fourteen, is interested in music, gardening and has a strong sense of aesthetics, the proof of which is the mud house that he has built in Santiniketan. |

 Mr. Arijit Bose Arijit currently heads the operations of United Machinery & Appliances and United Generator & Power Systems Pvt. Ltd as CEO and is engaged in providing services for addressing customer needs with enhanced efficiency. He has handled many projects in United Machinery & Appliances group while graduating from St. Xaviers College, Kolkata, so starting his practical training under his grand father and father. To carry the family business forward he joined Family Managed Business Administration at S.P.Jain, Mumbai. His dynamic personality has brought about a completely new turn to the company, where he now heads internal financial control and sales. Arijit spearheaded United Machinery & Appliances into a Phase-I expansion with all modern facilities for environment friendly manufacture of gensets. Backed with his formal education on entrepreneurship he has been inspired to keep the flag flying for his grandfathers beloved United Machinery & Appliances. Arijit is a very active sportsman, who represented his school (St, James) in interschool matches of hockey, rugby & rowing. Despite his busy schedule he finds time for regular gym & squash. |
